Select a folder and all the MP3 audio files inside that directory will be loaded into Hanso Tagger and will be displayed as a list at the top of the application’s interface. Select an audio file from this list and information about it will be presented down at the bottom of the interface. And to be more precise, the audio file’s ID3 v1.1, ID3 v 2.X, and lyrics will be presented onscreen.

A setup wizard will help you quickly install Hanso Tagger on your Windows-powered PC – which is nice. The setup wizard will repeatedly ask to install additional software on your Windows-powered PC – which isn’t very nice. The setup wizard will let you opt out of installing additional software – which, again, is nice. But it won’t let you opt out of installing Genieo – which, once again, isn’t very nice.

As mentioned above, Hanso Tagger’s interface is divided into two panels: the one at the top presents the audio files you loaded into the application; the one at the bottom presents tag info. After you load some audio files into the application, you will be able to use this interface to perform multiple tasks: view tags; edit tags; write tags, remove tags; sync tags; correct tags case; clean file names; open file location; open audio files in your default media player; rename audio files, delete audio files; and more.
